Catering for families, office parties, businesses, school parties, sports clubs and all types of outdoor venture clubs alike, whether novice or expert. We provide a wide range of programmes from day trips to weekend/mid week breaks, including overnight stops. The county of Shropshire, from which we operate, is one of the most beautiful and unspoilt in the country. The River Severn, which teems with wildlife, is the longest in Britain and winds through the county, offering a magnificent opportunity to experience Shropshire's natural beauty.
On every trip there is a guide, who will supply you with the buoyancy aids, give you tuition before you set off, and accompany you down the river if required. Canoe trips operate every day from April until October inclusive. In bad weather or poor river conditions the company reserves the right to cancel a canoe trip for safety reasons. In this event, an alternative date or full refund is offered. The Company operates under the new legislation laid down by the Health and Safety Executive and holds a current boating/vessel licence with a comprehensive public liability. We operate canoe hire, as well as a guided service.
Canoe trip - Pub Stop - Steam train return (Bridgnorth to Arley). Our most popular trip from Bridgnorth to Arley is a 10.5 mile paddle downstream. You assemble in Severn Park, Bridgnorth at 9.45pm where we will meet you with the canoes. After a short briefing of the canoeing techniques and safety issues you start with a 6 mile paddle to Hampton Loade. At this point there is a stop for about an hour for lunch (which is either at the pub or you can bring along a picnic). In the afternoon you continue down to Arley. This is about 4.5 miles. From there your return journey is on a steam train, which delivers you back to the train station in Bridgnorth. This is then a short stroll of 10 mins back to your cars. Finish time is about 4.45pm.
