DescriptionRorrington Hall, lies between Shropshire and the Welsh borders, stands in its own gardens and grounds with views over countryside of outstanding natural beauty, well away from main roads. En suite bedrooms each have a king size four poster bed and are furnished with antiques.
Rorrington Hall is a listed Elizabethan style black and white beamed house, deep in the heart of the Shropshire countryside in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Rorrington is located between Shropshire and the Welsh borders giving access to the best of both worlds.
We are a small family run business that aims for high standards and personal service. The accommodation is up to date whilst still retaining the character of the house.
We are unable to accommodate or cater for children of any age.
The bedrooms, Chirbury and Marton are en suite, have a King size four poster bed and are furnished with antiques. Every room has a flat screen T.V. , free Wifi, hospitality tray with tea/coffee, a bottle of filtered water, a bowl of fresh fruit, a hairdryer and bath robes.
The Guest sitting room is a comfortable place to relax in front of an open log fire during the colder months, there is also a fridge from which soft drinks, water and snacks can be purchased.
Our complimentary breakfast is served in the panelled dining room. Traditional full English Breakfast and vegetarian dishes are all cooked to order, choose juices, cereals, yogurt and fresh fruit from the buffet.
Dog kennels are available on a self livery basis, baskets and beds are provided and there is an exercise field to the rear. For the comfort of guests who suffer from allergies, dogs are not allowed into the house.
Adjacent to the kennels is a large drying room for wet coats and boots as well as storage for bicycles.
Gardens cover both the front and the rear of the house including a picnic area for guests to enjoy.
The area offers many places to eat, close by are ‘The Lowfield Inn’ (approx 1 mile) and ‘The Checkers’ a Michelin Star restaurant in Montgomery as well as other pubs and restaurants.
There is easy access to many famous national paths to walk such as Offa’s Dyke and the Severn Way, a choice of three 18 holes Golf courses near by, Fishing on the canal, lakes and rivers., Flying on pleasure flights or trial lessons at the Mid Wales Airport and the National Cycle Route 44 which runs through Rorrington.
Local visitor attractions include Powis Castle and gardens, Mongomery and Llanfair Steam Railway. Snowdonia National park, can be reached in under an hour. Historic Shrewsbury is the nearest Market Town, with a delightful range of shops, coffee houses and visitor attractions. The World Heritage Centre in Ironbridge is approxmately a 45 minute drive. National Trust properties such as Attingham Park and English Heritage Stokesay Castle and many national gardens, Museums, Abbeys and Castles are all within reach for day visits.

From Shrewsbury follow B4386 (for Montgomery) turn left at the Village Stores proceed for 1 mile, Rorrington Hall entrance appears straight ahead. From Ludlow A49, take A489 to Churchstoke, A490 to Chirbury, turn right onto B4386 for Marton, turn right at the Village Stores and proceed 1 mile to the entrance of Rorrington Hall.
