Shropshire Museum at the Music Hall, Shrewsbury Opening Times and admission prices in South Shropshire
The Museum is open 7 days a week from 10:00am till 5:00pm until 1st October 2014. Closed on Mondays October to Easter. Admission prices are £4.00 per adult; £3.50 for senior citizens; £2.00 per child (Entry is free for children aged 0 to 4.) Season tickets, group rates and combined tickets available. The Prehistory & Roman Gallery is free of charge to enter. There are special exhibitions this summer.

Ancient Wisdom from 14 July to 31 August.

A hands-on exhibition for all the family supported by a range of remarkable ancient Egyptian and Greek artefacts on loan from national Museums Liverpool. Find out what the ancients did for us. Shoot down a castle wall with a Roman catapult and see how the Egyptians locked their doors. Build an aqueduct to guide water to a village and try the Greek way of using the Sun to burn the enemy's ships. There is art and music as well and you can even write your name in hieroglyphics.

‘Living Dangerously’ Exhibition by LIFE Magazine photographer Terence Spencer from 19 July to 31 August.

Terence (Terry) Spencer was a World War II Spitfire pilot turned adventurer and photographer for LIFE magazine and many other publications. He followed The Beatles around just before they were to become famous in the USA and photographed many famous people such as politicians, film and pop stars.
