Shrewsbury Rated Second Happiest Place to Live in Britain!

Shrewsbury Rated Second Happiest Place to Live in Britain!
In a recent national survey by the property website company; Rightmove, Shrewsbury was crowned the second happiest place to live in Britain!

Nearly 25,000 participants were asked to rate their home towns according to a set of criteria which were based around twelve influences, some included how proud they felt of their home, how safe they felt, community costs and upkeep of the local area.

Commenting on the news, Martine Hirrell from Shropshire Tourism said “We are delighted to hear that Shrewsbury has been rated second happiest place to live in Britain.

Shrewsbury is well known for its history, culture and beautiful countryside. Surrounded by the River Seven, our county town is famous for its connections to Charles Darwin & the annual Shrewsbury Flower Show; one of the largest horticultural events in the country (taking place 14th & 15th August 2015!) With so much to celebrate, perhaps it’s no wonder Shrewsbury is number two on the happiness scale!”
