New weekend Shuttle bus service from Ludlow confirmed for 2013 in South Shropshire
Castle Connect is the new Shropshire Hills Shuttle route linking Ludlow, Knighton, Clun and Bishop’s Castle. Stephanie Hayes, Shropshire Hills AONB Partnership’s Promotions Officer comments "Whether you are into walking, shopping, castles or country pubs, this bus has it all and more!"

She continues “Funding from Shropshire Council’s Sustainable Transport Project has enabled us to trial the route this year and research undertaken in 2012 suggests this route with its stops at the different towns will be popular with visitors and residents alike. “

Local Bus Company, M & J Travel, based in Newcastle, has been awarded the contact and will be operating a 33 seater bus.  Company directors, Jane and Jonathan Price, commented “We are looking forward to running this new bus service and hope it will be a great success.”

The Shropshire Hills Shuttles start on Saturday 4 May and run every weekend and Bank Holiday Monday until 29 September.  All details including routes, timetables and ticket prices are available on www.shropshirehillsshuttles.co.uk.
