Mammoth Day of Animals at Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre

Mammoth Day of Animals at Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre
What better way to spend the Bank Holiday Saturday than handling a tarantula, coming face to face with a snake and exploring what wonderful creatures lurk in the Onny Meadows of the Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre?

It's a fun packed day at the Centre tomorrow with Simon Airey from Corner Exotics dropping in from 12 noon until 3pm to show visitors the array of exotic animals, the education team at the Centre will be offering pond dipping sessions and mini beast hunts in the 30 acre site of the meadows surrounding the Centre.

Visitors can also experience the Shropshire Mammoth with half price family tickets to see this magnificient beast; a replica of the skeleton of a mammoth found in Shropshire in the 1980's.

Laura Harvey, Learning and Development Officer at the Discovery Centre said "It will be a fun packed day for all the family who can experience animals face to face and learn about their behaviours and habitats. We are offering pond dipping and mini beast hunting in our meadows throughout the day, it is advisable to book as these activities are very popular with families and we are looking forward to a great day."

To book your place call the Discovery Centre on 01588 676060. For more information about Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre in Craven Arms visit www.shropshirehillsdiscoverycentre.co.uk
