Local Charity Home Start Shropshire Selected as Ludlow Food Centre’s Charity of The Year

Local Charity Home Start Shropshire Selected as Ludlow Food Centre’s Charity of The Year
Ludlow Food Centre has delightedly announced that Home Start has been selected as their charity of the year. Chosen from a list of three charities because of their extensive knowledge and support for families and children locally and throughout the UK, both parties are excited about this year long partnership.

Annette Judges, Chair of Trustees from Home Start, said that, “It is hard to find the right words to express our deep appreciation of the fabulous news that we have been chosen by the staff of the Ludlow Food Centre as their charity of the year; it is a great boost to the moral of staff and volunteers. We are very privileged to have secured the support of the Ludlow Food Centre staff and every penny donated will go towards making a difference to local parents and families in Shropshire to handle whatever life throws at them. We support parents to build better lives for their children.”

Jon Edwards, Managing Director at Ludlow Food Centre, said: “Supporting charity is something at the very heart of Ludlow Food Centre’s ethos – supporting local people, and giving back to the community. We’re thrilled that we’re able to get on board and raise much-needed cash that will help many people. We’re looking forward to organising fundraising events throughout the year, and seeing how much we can raise.”

As well as these fundraising events, contributions to the charity can be made at till points throughout Ludlow Food Centre, Ludlow Kitchen and The Clive. Discussions will also take place between Ludlow Food Centre and Home Start over the coming months to determine other fundraising initiatives that will raise as much money as possible for the charity
