Home Sweet Home family workshops at Coalport China Museum

Home Sweet Home family workshops at Coalport China Museum
Join in the Easter family workshops at Coalport China Museum, near Ironbridge where you make your own Tea Light Holders, inspired by the beautiful and intricate china cottage models known as the Coalport Pastille Burners. The 'Home Sweet Home' hands-on sessions will be held 30th March - 3rd April and 6th - 10th April.

Go along and try your hand at making a Tea Light Holder by sculpting a cottage, castle or lighthouse from clay. Once fired you can put a small candle inside your sculpture and transform it into a beautiful Tea Light Holder. Throughout the holidays you can also sculpt a clay creation of your choice and take it home unfired, paint a delicate china flower or fridge magnet, or join in paper based activities.

The half-term workshops at Coalport China Museum will be held from 11am until 1pm and 2pm until 4pm; fired ceramic activities carry an additional fee from £4, plus a postage charge from £3.50, if you want to have your creation sent home after firing.

Unfired ceramic activities are charged at £2.50 and Flower/ fridge magnets cost £1.

Open 10am to 5pm Coalport is one of the Ironbridge Gorge Museums. A great value Annual Passport Ticket allowing entry into all ten museums, valid for twelve months and unlimited daytime return visits, costs £27.95 per adult, £21.50 for the 60 plus, £16.95 for students and children and £68 for a family of two adults and all their children aged up to 18 years in full time education (terms and conditions apply); under 5s free.
