This charming 18th century Grade II listed cottage is situated just 5 minutes' walk from the heart of the famous medieval town of Ludlow, one of the UK’s finest examples of Tudor England.

                                                                                                                                                                                The cottage has been awarded Ludlow’s Conservation and Heritage Award (December 2011) for quality of conservation and enhancement.  It has oak beams throughout and has been immaculately renovated, decorated and furnished in a charming traditional style.

The cottage is very spacious and ideal for a family holiday in beautiful Shropshire. There are four large bedrooms, including one downstairs with an en-suite bathroom. On the ground floor there is a sitting room with TV and Clearview woodburning stove, an attractive dining room with additional TV and a large kitchen/ breakfast room.

Ludlow is home to a majestic 11th century castle, renowned shops, pubs, wonderful restaurants, tea rooms and racecourse, and is famous for its huge variety of food, art and transport festivals. For the more energetic there is cycling, golf and fishing nearby, as well as numerous walking routes along the Mortimer Trail. Nearby attractions include Stokesay Castle, the Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre, Acton Scott Historic Working Farm (as seen on TV), the Long Mynd and Caradoc Hills, the World Heritage Site of Ironbridge, Wroxeter Roman Ruins, the Severn Valley Railway and medieval Shrewsbury and Hereford. This is a Ludlow holiday cottage of the highest quality offering wonderful family accommodation in a truly special all year round location.

Four bedrooms: 1 x king-size four poster double, 1 x family room with 1 king-size double and 1 single with additional pull-out bed, 1 x twin (zip/link, can be super king-size double on request), 1 x ground floor twin (zip/link, can be super king-size double on request) with en-suite shower, basin, WC, washing machine and tumble dryer (doors to bedroom and hall). Large bathroom with bath, hand-held shower, separate shower, basin and WC. Fitted kitchen with breakfast table. Dining room. Sitting room with woodburning stove. Travel cot and high chair available upon request.

Directions

From Shrewsbury - A49 South. Take first exit towards Ludlow. Pass timber framed houses and Maltster's House is on left, fourth house before Station Road. From Leominster - A49 North. Take first exit, signposted Ludlow. Pass over Ludford Bridge and immediately turn right and follow it up hill, down Corve Street and past Station Road. Maltster's House is forth on right.
