Vote for the Discovery Centre in the Shropshire Star 'Spotlight' awards

For the second year running we are thrilled to have been nominated for the Shropshire Star 'Spotlight' awards in the category of 'Best Family Day Out - small venue'. The Shropshire Star received hundreds of suggestions for all categories of the best places in Shropshire and the judges selected Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre as one of the finalists.

Since Grow Cook Learn (a registered charity) took over the running of the Discovery Centre last year, we have received huge support from our visitors. We deliver a popular programme of family activities, exciting events and adult courses throughout the year. We offer home-cooked, freshly prepared food in our cafe, and the Meadows are a good place to explore with one of our trails or a GPS unit. Not forgetting our Mammoth who continues to fascinate visitors of all ages. Next year will be the 30th anniversary of our Mammoth (since the original bones were found in Condover!), we are planning a variety of specialist events and talks to celebrate.

If you would like to vote for us click here, the deadline is noon on 2nd November.

Thank you for your continued support, we will let you know how we get on!
