Use the Shuttle buses over the Bank Holiday

Use the Shuttle buses over the Bank Holiday
Bank Holidays are busy times on the road, so why not beat the bustle and step onto the Shuttle buses to explore the Shropshire Hills this weekend.

Stephanie Hayes, Promotions Officer for the Shropshire Hills AONB Partnership, has a number of suggestions “The Secret Hills Shuttle, which is a circular route between Craven Arms, Clun and Bishop’s Castle, will take you to the lively Clun Green Man Festival this weekend, or it you are wanting to escape the crowds there are a number of great walks you can do using this Shuttle which vary in distance and ease – see our website for details.”

Stephanie continued “As the name suggests The Long Mynd & Stiperstones Shuttle takes you over these two distinctive hilltops with excellent walks in all directions.  Stop at the Bog Visitor Centre to find out more about the mining history and wildlife of the Stiperstones area, and Snailbeach Mine is a few Shuttle stops along and open this Sunday and Monday from 11am.”

Details of these suggestions and many more ideas of things to do using the Shropshire Hills Shuttles can be found on the website, along with timetable, ticket prices and route description – see

The Shuttles are 16-seater mini-buses which provide easy access into the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty for walking, sightseeing, pub lunches, picnics and more.  The Shuttles are funded by Shropshire Council, National Trust, Natural England and the Shropshire Hills AONB Partnership.
