TWO FESTIVALS LINKED BY BUS

TWO FESTIVALS LINKED BY BUS in South Shropshire
Two festival organisers have clubbed together again this year to link their events by bus on Sunday 24th August 2014. The Green Festival in Ludlow attracts hundreds of people and is keen to encourage visitors on board the Festival Bus to enjoy nearby Sun Inn Beer and Music Festival at the Sun Inn, Leintwardine.

Comments Les Lumsdon of the Green Festival: "The bus offers a lovely scenic ride through Mortimer Forest and calls at the historic village of Wigmore en route to Leintwardine; it returns on the main road back via Bromfield. With a bus every hour you can hop on and off wherever you like and most people dip into the beer and music festival at the Sun Inn. It reduces the number of cars on the road in the area so that has to be good for the environment."

The bus, operated by Lugg Valley Travel, leaves Ludlow (Assembly Rooms) at 1230,and hourly until 1530, then 1730 until 1930. It departs from Leintwardine at 1305 and hourly until 1605, then 1805, 1905 and 2005 for the 20 minute ride back into town.

Landlord of the Sun Inn, Steve Illidge says: "The Festival is a major event in the calendar of the village and with good beer, cider and good food on offer and a wide range of music, visitors coming in on the Hop On bus love it. I am grateful for Ludlow 21 getting behind this project and for Hobsons Brewery who sponsor it. Its part of the festival experience and long may it run."
