The Bog Centre Opens for the Season

The Bog Centre Opens for the Season in South Shropshire
The Bog visitor centre reopened on Saturday March 23rd, until Sunday 3rd November 2013.

The centre has been redecorated over the winter which has given an opportunity to re-vamp the displays.  In addition the centre was successful in gaining a grant from "All our Stories" run by the Heritage Lottery Fund to gather and improve the local history.  Already we have archive photographs from the last mine manager's family and will be running  "Bog Bygones Recorded" on Weds 3rd and Thurs 4th April when we welcome all to record their memories of The Bog.
Opening hours for 2013 will be 7 days per week from 10am to 5pm (4pm close after clocks change) with a later opening on Mondays of 12 noon to allow for cleaning.
