Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre hosts a bank holiday bluebell walk

Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre hosts a bank holiday bluebell walk
The team at the award winning Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre will be leading a walk over the bank holiday weekend to one of the best places in Shropshire to see bluebells.

Expert walk leader, Keith Pybus will lead the group through the Shropshire countryside arriving at a bluebell wood that presents an impressive bed of bluebells.

Keith Pybus said ‘Half the world's bluebells grow in the woods of this country. For a couple of weeks at most they are one of nature's miracles. We are fortunate to have one of the county's finest displays on our doorstep. The bluebells of Sallow Coppice have taken hundreds of years slowly spreading to provide us with this unique beauty. Join me on a memorable walk, along the way I will share with you some of the legends surrounding bluebells and an interesting fact or two about Shropshire’.

The walk starts at Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre on Sunday 3rd May from 10.30am to 12.30pm, £3.50 per person with a discount voucher for the Discovery Centre café, why not book for Sunday lunch after your walk?

To book your place on the walk, call 01588 676060 or visit the website: www.shropshirehillsdiscoverycentre.co.uk

The Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre is managed by Grow Cook Learn, a local charity connecting people to the landscape, history and food of the Shropshire Hills.
