Shropshire Hills Art Week 30th May to 7th June

Shropshire Hills Art Week 30th May to 7th June
This regional arts event is an opportunity for visitors to meet artists in their studios and at joint shows in venues in the Shropshire Hills.

The Shropshire Hills Art Week focuses on art inspired by landscape and wildlife. Designated in 1958, the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is one of Britain’s finest landscapes, tucked between the Midlands and the Welsh uplands. The hills, rolling farmland, woods and river valleys of this varied and special landscape are rich in geology and wildlife and ingrained with heritage. Stunning views are almost taken for granted by those who live and work here, but they have long been an inspiration to writers, artists and crafts people

Now in their second year they already have more open studios than last time, and a greater number of venues to visit overall. Please spread the word! Tell your friends to pick up an Art trail map and plan their visit. Look out for the logo and follow our orange signs to get to each venue, and please fill in an evaluation form (at venues or on our website) for the chance to win a prize!

Wheelchair access is marked, but if in doubt, please phone the venue direct.

Space in the brochure is limited, and you can find a lot more information on our website, including additional things to do or visit near many of the venues, suggestions for walks, and links to public transport.

If you are an artist and you would like to be part of this exciting event next year, please get in touch via our website.
