Autumn ramble exploring the Wrekin and the Ercall – guided walk

Autumn ramble exploring the Wrekin and the Ercall – guided walk in South Shropshire
Join John Tuer, from the Severn Tree Trust, on Saturday 22 November for a 6-mile woodland walk on the Wrekin and the Ercall Hill Nature Reserve.

John is leading this autumn ramble and will be talking about the trees, geology and archaeology. He explains “This is a great time of year for a woodland walk, crunching through the fallen leaves and admiring the change in colour. We will start at the Ercall to explore this ancient oak woodland, and then onto the Wrekin.”

Meet at 11am at the entrance to the Ercall Hill Nature Reserve, opposite the Buckatree Hotel, near Wellington (grid reference SJ 640097). Please bring along a picnic as the walk will finish by 3.30pm.

Booking is essential, please call Alison at the Shropshire Hills AONB Partnership, on 01588 674080 or email shropshirehillsaonb@shropshire.gov.uk. The cost is £3 or £2 for members of Friends of the Shropshire Hills AONB.
